Adeje: San Sebastian Festival
San Sebastián, co-patron saint of the municipality of Adeje together with the Virgen de la Encarnación and Santa Úrsula, celebrates his feast day on the 20th of January.
During this time, it has become one of the most popular celebrations in the south of Tenerife. The large number of people congregating in the place known as La Enramada is due to the relationship they have with agriculture and livestock farming in the region and on the island.
The festival offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy the traditional Canarian music festival, followed by the sung mass and the pilgrimage. Horses will be blessed by the parish priest in a moving ceremony after their bathing in the sea.
