It is the perfect place to be in full contact with nature.
This beach, which is over a kilometer long, is located between the towns of El Médano and Los Abrigos, ideal for sports or a walk along the shore.
From this beach, you will have stunning views of the Montaña Roja volcano, which you can climb via a trail if you feel like it. The views from the top of the volcano are worth it, and you can admire the beauty of the beach at a glance.
Once at the beach, you should know that if you walk to the left (facing the sea), you will come across a small cove with lighter and reddish tones of sand right at the foot of the Montaña Roja volcano. This cove is very beautiful, and I recommend seeing it without fail.
It is a beach that can be dangerous in rough sea conditions due to undertows and currents. Caution should be exercised during high waves. Nudism is allowed on this beach.
The area is classified as a protected natural space, so you cannot drive directly to the beach. There are parking lots available along the Médano-Los Abrigos road with several paths that lead directly to the beach. The walk takes only about five minutes.
The only downside is the wind. The beach is located in one of the windiest areas of the island of Tenerife, so it is rare to have no wind. Nevertheless, it is worth a visit.
