Charming Corners

La Gomera: Peaceful, Green, and Beautiful Island

Ancient forests, impressive viewpoints, charming nooks, and a unique culture in the Canary Islands. La Gomera, a Biosphere Reserve, is home to one of the world's most important natural ecosystems, declared a World Heritage site and National Park: the primitive laurel forest.

It is the perfect place to connect with a simpler way of life. Traverse kilometres of trails in nearly untouched natural environments, inviting us to explore the island on foot, the best way to discover unforgettable spots like El Cedro Creek in Garajonay National Park, where the enormous trees and ferns of a lush, damp forest, now vanished from most of the planet, leave us speechless.

The island's rugged topography makes many points in La Gomera ideal as magnificent watchtowers from which to enjoy spectacular panoramas.

Descending to the coast, the landscape changes drastically, but we also find several attractions. One of them is the Natural Monument of Los Órganos, a spectacular volcanic cliff shaped like organ pipes that drop vertically into the sea and can only be admired from a boat. And if we want to relax while sunbathing and taking refreshing dips in the transparent ocean waters, the island has beautiful dark-sand beaches where tranquillity can be enjoyed.
