Waiving of the monthly rent due to the health emergency situation
In light of the global health emergency caused by COVID-19, and the declaration of a state of alarm, major homeowners (investment funds and banks) will implement a series of measures aimed at those families who have been economically affected by the state of alert.
Given the global health emergency situation caused by COVID-19, and the declaration of a state of alarm to manage the health crisis caused by COVID-19, which immediately came into effect on March 14, 2020 with the Royal Decree 463/2020, and the subsequent amendment of Royal Decree 465/2020 of March 17, major homeowners (investment funds and banks) will implement a series of measures aimed at those families who have been economically affected by the state of alert.
The measure, initially, will consist of waiving the April rent and it can be extended until the month in which the end of the alert period is decreed if it had to extend beyond April 2020.
Likewise, what to do with the contracts of properties and homes that end during the state of alarm is being studied. The possibility that is gaining weight is that all of them are automatically extended under the same conditions for three more months.
